In “Messages from the Mani”, we reported on the “hut” that we could buy in Kályves. This section covers the renovation of this ruin into a normal house—exterior-wise in the style of the houses in this hamlet, but with interiors tailored to modern desires.

This section is divided into three parts: a photo report of the house at the time of purchase in 2004, the drawings created during the construction process, and finally a photo report of the complete renovation.

Preparatory activities began in the spring of 2005, and the project officially started in August.
