25. Exochori
From Petrovouni, you can drive further towards the mountains (Taygetos) and, after several bends, arrive at the cluster of Exochori. This is a group of five closely located villages, with Exochori being the most important and by far the largest, followed by Nikovo, Chora, Kolibetseika, and Pripitsa. Exochori has a history dating back long before the common era and was known as Androvitsa. It was the largest community in the wider area, and even in 1941, about 1,300 people lived here.
A visit to Exochori, with its many narrow alleys and squares, is definitely worth the effort.
