17. Old Kardamyli 1

In ancient times, Kardamyli already existed and was located on the Acropolis, a hilltop between Kardamyli and Ag. Sophia. At its foot lies Old Kardamyli, with a fortress on the northern side that was inhabited by the Mourtsinos and Petreas families. There is also a beautiful church here, Agios Spiridon, with its Maniot tower, shown here in close-up.
