8. Moni Profitis Ilias Rousaki

The small peninsula west of Kardamyli and south of Kitries and Doloi is uninhabited, with only an abandoned monastery. Every year, on the feast day of the Prophet Elias, July 19th, a usually very well-attended celebration takes place, and the church is open for a service. A perfect opportunity to see the unique frescoes. The only problem is finding the way there....
