12. Ancient-Messini

on the north side of ancient Messini there is still a remnant of the old walls that were built in the lower areas. On the north-east side is Mount Ithomi as a natural barrier. Heavily guarded gates gave access to the area, the so-called Arcadian Gate on the north side is still reasonably intact
